Feeling Jealous!

Prepare to be jealous. Lauren has connections. She was able to sweet talk the owner of Alleia into letting us in before the restaurant opened to get these incredible shoots for her senior book. As a matter of fact, I’M jealous. My senior portraits look nothing like this. Lauren wanted to get some photos taken here because she really enjoys cooking and entertaining and this is her absolute favorite restaurant. So it conveys HER perfectly.
The mirrors, the lanterns , the low seating, the textured walls, just everything!
Thanks to Alleia’s owner and staff for being gracious and accommodating with their restaurant!
More from Lauren’s sessions to follow later!! So come back!

Already a Memory

Andrew was just an all around good guy. Easy to work with, willing to be out in the hot sun, though it wasn’t quite up to the 110 degree heat index we’re now experiencing. We had a great time with him. Most of his photos are outside because the area around the studio is just perfect for senior sessions. We get the traditional ‘pretty’ ones that mom wants, AND the cool ones the YOU want! For example, the nice one of Andrew under the tree is what we would call traditional.
This is my favorite. Cool graphic tee, gritty urban setting.
And here is the one that will hold memories for Andrew. See his class ring? It is now MIA, most likely at the bottom of a lake. But hey, I bet he had fun water skiing!

Toss it again!

Patrick heard that about 25 times during the goofy part of his session. See, he’s a member of The Spirituals, its a group that wears…er, unique ( yeah, that’s the word I was looking for), hats. So we asked him to bring a couple to the shoot. Our favorite was this straw hat. Which we had him toss into the air and try to catch on his head. Hilarious! And this series of images captured that little time perfectly.
And of course we got some classic looks as well. One of mom’s favorites was the argyle sweater. And I think the jacket looks very stylish. These will still look nice, not dated, for many years.
