Tragedy in Connecticut.

The tragedy in Connecticut makes one so very sad. We all feel the loss and the pain for these families and the community. I cannot even imagine the heartbreak of the parents and other students. In their attempt to deal with this senseless horror some will attempt to fix blame on all kinds of different things. The simple truth is each of us is responsible for our choices and behavior. It seems most of society conditions children and adults that “you” are not responsible. The constant refrain is always that someone outside ourselves is responsible for the way we are. It is the school, or God, or the Devil, or the parents, violent video games, ease of gun acquisition, not enough “good” people with guns, etc, ad nauseum. All of us are influenced by what we listen to, what we watch, who we are around, what we read, etc, ultimately though, we make the choices and we are responsible for our own behavior.
