Off To College

The season is upon us. It’s that time of year when parents are preparing to drop their teenagers off at college. It’s hard to believe that within the next month we will be waving goodbye to our child as they take their next step towards adulthood. Don’t let the sadness and fear get in the way of the pride and accomplishment you should feel. The day should be full of excitement and eagerness, but don’t be fooled your teen is just as nervous as you are even if they don’t tell you. Several parents I have spoken to say that they are so thankful that they took the time to create senior portraits before they fled the nest. At the time, the portraits were a fun milestone celebrating their last year in high school and all of their accomplishments, but now they are cherished every day for the memories made while they were still at home.
