Behind the Scenes at Cansler Photography The Making of “Men Go Red”

Whether it was relieving some stress by playing in the fountain, having an AED on hand while planning new construction, or showing off those running shoes by getting active, everyone was invested in making the “Men Go Red” calendar a success.

Creating the calendar “Men Go Red” was a fun way to spread the word about women and their #1 killer – heart disease.  It was exciting to be part of a great project to help raise funds for heart disease, stroke education, and research.

At the studio, it was all hands on deck for two jam-packed days with sessions at different locations around town.  The mission, create 12 exciting, one of a kind, photographs each representing activities that are important to heart health.

A concept for each month was planned out ahead of time.  Then scheduling all the participants at the appropriate times, where they needed to be around town, what to wear, and what accessories needed to be included came next.

Terran Anderson and Brooke Fontana from Chattanooga AHA were great to work with, coordinating our “super stars” and getting permission to photograph at different locations.  Of course, the men our “super stars” in the calendar were the best, from running wearing red dresses to lifting weights in a Santa suit; they did whatever was needed to show their support.

We are proud to sponsor the calendar and volunteer our time and resources for the American Heart Association.
