Smoky Mountain National Park 2015

Just returned from a couple of days away from the studio. Had the opportunity to work with some stellar photographic mentors. I have always enjoyed doing landscape photography but never put the effort in it like I have my portraiture. This was created last night in the Smokies. The sun wasn’t really co-operating but I went ahead and setup the camera then decided on the composition. When the sun broke through the clouds and mist I was ready! I literally had 15 seconds before it started fading. Luck = equals preparation + opportunity. Will add more when I have a little time. Special thanks to my friend Dennis Hammon for trying to teach me!
