It’s All About the Bangs and Accessories.

Jessica came in for her senior portrait session the other afternoon ready to go! She walked in the door with the cutest casual outfit and adorable big sunglasses. I love love love big sunglasses! So Brad and I quickly picked out her other outfits, and started inside. Jessica’s session went off with out a hitch except for one little thing, her bangs have a mind of their own. Don’t get me wrong her hair is silky smooth and awesome, but the tilting and turning of her head only lead to bangs in the eyes. So after some fixing and fussing we decide to just go with it, and did some great shots of bangs infront of one of her eyes with dramatic lighting. Although, her grandmother won’t approve, I know she’ll love them. We did pull the hair back later when we headed outside. Check out the to die for earrings with the white dress she’s wearing. They were her grandmother’s earrings! I love vintage, especially when you pair with something unexpected like she did. These are some of our favorite shots, and we had to share them with all of you. Enjoy!

Jillian is one of our senior reps from GPS. She came in to finish the second half of her session the other day, and we were pumped to try some new indoor and outdoor shots. As always she was a great sport, and went on along with our craziness. These are just a few of my favorites!

Maggie and the Mosquitoes
Posted on 03. Jul, 2009 by Cansler Photography.
Maggie came in earlier this week for her senior portraits and to get a few shots with her younger sister. It was an early morning session, so I was excited that it wasn’t going to be uncomfortably hot and humid. We headed outside, and the light was perfect. As you can see from the pics, she has gorgeous red hair that was absolutely stunning in the sun that morning. About midway through the session, I began to notice a common theme while we were shooting. We were all just a little too itchy. It went something like this: camera snap…itch itch…camera snap…itch itch. About this time we began to notice we were hosting a little breakfast buffet for the mosquitoes in the backyard. I ran and grabbed the OFF doused us all in it, and yes we did smell lovely! You would think after all this time OFF might come up with a bug spray that doesn’t make you feel like a walking citronella candle, but hey, it does the job. We had a blast with Maggie and her sister! We teased, we got great shots, we laughed, and of course, we itched.
