Rain Rain Go Away

Madison’s mom and I had a very short window of time to get Madison’s senior portraits done. We found a date and time that worked perfect for their schedule and crossed our fingers that everything would work out without a hitch. Unfortunately crossing fingers doesn’t always do the trick.

Madison was coming up from Atlanta, and the night before her session a storm front was moving in. Ugh, now I love storms when I need a nap, or need to clean my house. They give you the perfect opportunity to get caught up on some z’s or vacuuming, but I HATE, I repeat, I HATE storms and rain when we have an Art Elite session scheduled. I tell Brad regularly I am going to create a weather machine so that this doesn’t continue to happen, and so I can be a millionaire of course. It’s in the works.Madison9494

Because of Madison’s busy schedule we decided to go ahead and do the session even though it was raining. We decided to do some really cool stuff indoors with her soccer gear, and we set up some great backgrounds with new lighting for something totally different.
We lucked out though a couple of times during her shoot and were able to get outside for a few shots, and on day where it’s forecasted to rain cats and dogs we’ll take what we can get. Luckily what we got was GORGEOUS! We are so grateful to Madison and her mom for being such troopers!Madison9518

P.S.
-I’ll keep you all posted on how my weather machine turns out 🙂

Lauren came in for her senior Art Elite session with her mom and little sister Nicole. She had all of her outfits ready to go, and we were ready to get started. Lauren is a gorgeous girl, so we knew we wouldn’t have to work too hard to get some great shots. She even put up with us making her wear the winter coat she brought for more than just a few shots. It’s just hard to stop when you’re getting great stuff. I believe the saying goes…if the shoe fits buy it in every color!

Lauren’s mom wanted something of Nicole and Lauren together, and with all the sideline posing Nicole was doing during the first part of the shoot we could tell she was ready for her close up. The girls gave in, and we were able to get one of those “act like you love each other shots” that I think every mom is dying for. You know the one I’m talking about, and if you don’t just take a look.Lybrand8851

Lauren was a great senior to photograph, and we had such a great time with her and her family. It is really a pleasure and a blessing to have so many amazing clients to work with!Lybrand6668-2Lybrand6534

Brad and I have recently had the privilege of working with the Children’s Miracle Network on their Miracle Children project again this year. Since 1992 Brad has volunteered and teamed up with CMN by providing photography to help with various fundraising projects. From posters to calendars, we take pride in having helped this great organization raise thousands of dollars to support the families and children in our community.
The past couple months we have had the pleasure of photographing the miracle kids for this year’s fundraising project! This year the ages have ranged from 10 months old to 15 years old. They have been an inspiration to meet and spend time with! We will be sure to let all of our readers know when the fundraiser for these Miracle Children begins. For now I just wanted to give you all a sneak peak at one these little cuties!
