Serendipity!

P1070311A couple of months ago I was thinking of new ideas on how to get in front of more people. Obviously since I create in a visual media it is imperitive that I be as high profile as possible. It is also just as important to be visible to the right people, so I thought I am going to contact the Chattanooga Symphony and Opera to pitch an idea that I had.

It was written on my list of things to do then I got a call from Sophia Bridger(a client) asking if I would be willing to host a CSO Guild meeting at the studio. I’m like Duh’, then I told her that I was planning on contacting them to explain my concept. She put me in touch with the right person, Margaret Green. We got together and I told them my idea, to say they loved it would be an understatement. So now I have taken on this huge project that I’m looking forward to it because it will be a chance for me to stretch and grow as an artist. I’ll get to do cool images and be introduced to a new audience.

In case you are wondering why I am not saying anything about the project, well you will just have to stay tuned to see it as it unfolds! The grand unveiling will probably be at the CSO Gala sometime next spring so keep checking back to find out what is happening.

Taking a short break

P1070296Our family has been trying to go for a bike ride sometime every weekend. So this last weekend it was just too beautiful not to go out again. We decided since dad had just a short window of time to go out(this time of year is crazy for me) we would ride somewhere close to downtown.  We chose to ride along the riverwalk.

It is such a wonderful addition to our city to be able to go from downtown Ross’s Landing all the way to the dam. We started at the dam and rode down to the rowing center then back again. It is a very easy 11 mile ride  but the scenery was spectacular.  One of my friends was asking how do we find the time, well we have made a commitment to do something outside as a family every opportunity we can. Sydney will be grown up soon and too cool for mom and dad so we want to enjoy our time together as much as we can.

Here are a couple of images from our ride.P1070298

Little Bundle of Joy, Jack

Jennifer came in to do some photographs with her precious baby boy, Jack. He was only 12 days old and was the most adorable thing I had ever seen. I’ve never been around such a young baby before so it was definitely a new experience for me. I didn’t realize how tiny babies really are! He was a very active baby and was so interested in everything around him it took a little bit of coaxing him to go to sleep for the photographs, like Brad wanted.

Once mom got him to go to sleep, Brad got some really amazing shots of him sleeping in his mother’s arms. It was almost as if Jack knew exactly the pose Brad wanted and sweetly went into it for us towards the end of the session. Jennifer did a wonderful job getting Jack to sleep and stay still during the session, and it seemed like she was having fun as well!

These are going to be some of the new portraits going up in Dr. Matthew Robert’s office and we are excited about how well they turned out.Martinez2717
