A little crazy, a LOT of fun!

Rebecca walked into the studio and thought she could be reserved. Ha! Not when you’re a Cansler model! And she should have known that because in 2006 we took her brother, Aaron’s, senior portraits. We absolutely require a little craziness (we’re already crazy, and we like company). It took all of 10 minutes for her to relax and start goofing off. Yes, this pretty girl can ham it up with the best of them. She just THINKS she’s shy. Give her a Chinese parasol and she twirls it and poses so prettily. Give her a mural and she screams! Give her heels and sunglasses and you get the *kiss kiss* upper class attitude.Rebecca has so many facets to her personality and we got to see and photograph a lot of them. Her mother was along for our wild ride of a session and said she was glad Rebecca didn’t look uncomfortable; supposedly she doesn’t like attention. Again, I don’t believe that one. Take a look at the Photos. Does she look like she wants to be a wallflower? I think not! But that’s just what we do. Nervous people don’t look so great in photos, so we make sure we loosen you up and get the REAL you- not this strange person staring at the camera with a cheesy grin. This is the kind of session we love to have; a client who has fun, which means we have fun, which means GREAT PHOTOS!“I had a fun filled time with Cansler.  I was very timid walking into the studio, but as soon as we began the session, the Cansler crew found every angle of my personality.  I feel every photo taken is an expression of who I really am.  Thanks to Cansler I now have memories that will last me a lifetime!”

Hey guys, Mom wants your portrait too!

Josef is the first guy to come to the studio for senior portraits this year. Like most guys, he doesn’t like to be photographed that much, so his mother is taking advantage of the opportunity to get really nice portraits. He was a little quiet at first but Brad joked around until he broke the ice. Once we got him out of the tux jacket we really got to try some new things. Certain poses and settings only work for guys and since Josef is our first of the year, it was interesting to see how differently the session progressed.

For one thing, he changes clothes MUCH faster! But also, the lighting could be more stark and defined; pretty sure Josef didn’t care to have glamour lighting. And the poses themselves, they can be more relaxed without seeming slouchy. The whole session was just such a new experience for me. And of course it helped that Josef was easygoing and willing to try anything we asked.

So Kassidy, one of our Baylor models, comes in all smiles and talks, talks, talks. She and I were chatting during her whole session. And that fun, lively personality shows in her senior portraits. Case in point, the fabulous pink hat! Brad and I had a great time goofing off with it before we got serious, well as serious as you can be in a pink hat. Doesn’t she look like a diva at the Kentucky Derby?

After the nice, pleasant portion of her session, Brad and I dragged Kassidy out to an abandoned warehouse to get a gritty urban feel. We had this girl hopping over rubble, traipsing through weeds and climbing onto concrete platforms. All for a good photo. But we got what we wanted…. and that’s all that matters! Oh, and Kassidy was a true model and didn’t complain a bit.

Finally, we gave her a break and shot some pretty things around the studio. This is just one of the portraits we took then, but its too gorgeous not to share!

Kassidy is my beautiful granddaughter of whom I am very proud !

Kassidy is a wonderful Christian girl who is very independant, classy, & unselfish, not to mention, smart !

She wants to be a doctor & I’m sure she can accomplish anything her heart desires. But my goodness, she’d be a great model wouldn’t she !

Thanks for your professional talent in photography.

Kassidy is my daughter and I can’t tell you how proud I am of the pictures we have taken with Cansler. We went for our first visit the night before I was leaving for a mission trip to New Mexico. She was asked to be a model representing Baylor for Cansler and they wanted to do the shoot the very next week. Did I mention I was leaving in the morning…. anyone that know’s Kassidy and I know that I never miss anything she is involved in. I was almost sick to think I wasn’t going to be there. I said all this to say…WOW…they are truely pros when it comes to taking wonderful pictures. Kassidy said she had a blast and the pictures are truely amazing. Now I understand the saying “Pictures are worth a 1000 words”
