Shivering and Grinning in Chattanooga, TN

Mom called and scheduled a session for her daughter Alexis. Mom was looking for something pretty casual for a particular wall in her house so decided to do images outside. The last time I saw Alexis was at xmas during our annual Santa party at the studio. Over the last 10 months she has grown a lot taller and is missing more teeth!

It was cold outside the day of the session but Alexis was tough insisting that she was OK. We kept wrapping her up in a blanket between photographs even though she said we didn’t need to. I think I am getting spoiled with all the well behaved children I have photographed lately!

“Life is the art of drawing without an eraser” – John Gardner

I saw this quote and thought how profound. In a few simple words he communicates that life is for living to the fullest without regrets.

It Seems Like Yesterday

Rena called and scheduled a session for Ryan. It has been a year since I had seen him, well to say he has grown would be an understatement. It seems only yesterday we were photographing him out at Reflection Riding when he was one year old. Now he is in 1st grade and getting tall. We hadn’t done casual photographs outside the last several times so mom wanted  something natural and relaxed. Ryan was a trooper and we had fun acting silly. We did some with glasses and some without and I wanted to share a couple of them with you.
