Dinosaurs Coats and Cowboys Hats with Brynn
Posted on 14. Apr, 2009 by Cansler Photography.
Any session that involves dinosaur rain gear, cowboy hats, cowboy boots and a giggly little pistol who goes by the name of Brynn has to be shared with others. As always, Brynn came in full of energy and ready to play it up for his portraits.
It was bright and sunny out, but we had fun pretending it was raining so Brynn could play in his ferocious dinosaur rain coat and bring out his matching umbrella.
He had a great time dressing up for this shoot and showed us his favorite cowboy hat that matches his favorite cowboy boots. If you didn’t know any better you could easily mistake this little buck-a-roo for a bandit from the Wild West.

The Italy Session…Just a Hop, Skip, and a Block Away
Posted on 14. Apr, 2009 by Cansler Photography.
Okay Okay, so we didn’t exactly go to Italy for our session with the Waldrop Family. Trust me, Brad and I tried to find a way to justify the trip for one session. We did this right before the Home Show back in February, and it really is too good to not share with all of you! We knew going in to this session we wanted a far away feel, and needed one of our family’s who trusted us enough to volunteer for something new and different. So many thanks to Mark, Christine, Madison and McCall for being brave and letting us use one of our new locations for their session!

The Beach Experience
Posted on 14. Apr, 2009 by Cansler Photography.
We went down to visit Helen’s family over Easter. I had been wanting to do a new portrait of Sydney for a wall in our basement so decided to take my equipement with us to Miami. Those of you who know me well know that I hate to carry camera equipment with me, unless it is for an assignment. Normally I use a camera on vacation that is the size of a cigarette pack. But I have been having fun using my new high resolution camera for portraits and thought it would be cool to do something different.Helen asked what I wanted Sydney to wear I said no khakis and white. I’m bored with that look, so wanted to do something other than the typical pastels. Well as you can imagine that gave Helen an excuse to go shopping for clothes. As a lot of you know I am picky so she showed me a whole lot of clothes before I found a couple outfits that I had in mind. The evening we were to do the photograph it was storming with major thunderstorms on the beach we had selected. We went ahead and started towards the beach about an hour away by the time we arrived the sun was out and it was beautiful. Here are a few images that we captured.
